The globally influential QS World University Rankings by Subject were officially announced on April 6, 2022. Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, has achieved another success. This year, the University ranks among the top 100 in the world in 20 disciplines and among the top 50 in 6 disciplines, including Classics and Archaeology, which are ranked first in the world and 10th in the world.
Among the subjects offered in cooperation with Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, the Law ranked first in Italy and 46th in the world with an overall score of 75.5 in the QS ranking list (including five indicators: academic reputation, number of citations of papers per faculty, employer evaluation, H-index citations, and international research network), rising 12 places in the global ranking compared to the previous year. The Faculty of Law of Sapienza University of Rome is one of the largest faculties of the University, with a strong faculty and many renowned scholars of world renown. The School of Law has had a profound impact on Italy and Europe, producing numerous politicians, judges and lawyers, and is known as the "cradle of politicians" and the "cradle of jurists". The current president and former prime minister of Italy have graduated from the law school of the university. In April 2019, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Sapienza University of Rome jointly established the Sino-Italian Institute, which was approved by the Ministry of Education to offer a master's degree in "European Studies: Comparative and European Law". The program grants graduates of the program a master's degree from Sapienza University of Rome.
The QS World University Rankings is one of the three most influential university ranking systems in the world, based on peer evaluations in academic fields, employer-based student employment evaluations, citation rates of academic results, and internationalization of faculty and students.
