Visiting Professor of Chinese-Italian Institute

Full professor of Roman law institutions at the Department of Law of the Federico II University of Naples. He taught at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salerno and European University of Rome. He was Vice-coordinator of the Law Faculty at and Executive Director of the European University Foundation at the European University of Rome. He is the director of the project Common Roman Law and Unification of Law and a member of many other projects including Translation of Justinian's Digestas: Legal, Historical and Dogmatic Lexicon. He has published six monographs and numerous essays, and his main field of research includes Roman law and ancient law.He was appointed as the visiting professor of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2017.

Maria Virginia Sanna

Visiting Professor of Chinese-Italian Institute

Professor at Università  degli studi di Cagliari, and PhD in law. Maria Virginia Sanna focuses on the research in the field of females, marriage, adultery ect. and has published a number of articles in several international well-known journals and organized several international conferences. Professor Sanna is also an expert of Roman law and has created with professor Oliviero Diliberto a database of Latin literature and glossaries concerning the Twelve Tables.

Visiting Professor of Chinese-Italian Institute

Full Professor of Roman law and of legal epigraphy and papyrology at the Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, PhD in law. Since 2010 he has been teaching Legal Epigraphy at the Advanced Training Course in Roman Law at Sapienza University. He is the author of monographs and numerous essays on the legal and political institutions of ancient Rome, published in international journals, conference proceedings, collections of studies. He is director of the Laboratory of Legal Epigraphy and Papyrology and co-director of Minima Epigraphica et Papyrologica.He was appointed as the visiting professor of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2017 and 2021.

Paul Mitchell joined UCL as Professor of Laws in 2010, and has previously taught at King's College London, Queen Mary University of London, and Oxford University. He graduated from University of Oxford and gained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1996. He was elected Exhibitioner of Magdalen College in 1992. His main research interests are the law of tort, Roman law, unjust enrichment and contract law. Much of his work is historical, exploring how and why the law developed as it did. He was appointed as the visiting professor of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2021.

Domenico Dursi

Visiting Scholar of Chinese-Italian Institute

Associate professor at Sapienza University of Rome with the professor qualification granted by the Italian Ministry of Education, PhD in law. He begins to conduct research in the Classical Law Research Center at University of Pavia in 2015. He becomes a member of the European Research Council project Roman Jurists since 2016 and researcher at the Chinese-Italian Legal Research Center since 2017. As a visiting scholar, he conducts research at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law since 2018. He has published numerous monographs including and tens of articles.He was appointed as the visiting scholar of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2018.

Antonio Angelosanto

Visiting Scholar of Chinese-Italian Institute

Lecturer at Sapienza University of Rome, PhD in law, creator of "Sapienza Legal Papers", expert of the Advanced Training Course on Roman Law, member of numerous projects including "Ius publicum & scriptores iuris". Doctor Angelosanto has published a lot in the field of Roman law and organized several academic conferences.He was appointed as the visiting scholar of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2019.

Francesco Maria Lucci

Visiting Scholar of Chinese-Italian Institute

Lawyer, researcher at Sapienza University of Rome, PhD in law. He is a member of gruppo di ricerca Ius Publicumand the European Research Council project Scriptores Iuris Romani. He has published several essays, and his main field of research includes Roman law, civil law, social security law and labour law.He was appointed as the visiting scholar of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2021.

Alessia Spina

Visiting Professor of Chinese-Italian Institute

Ph.D. in Roman and Ancient Law at the Milan “Bicocca University; She was resercher at Sapienza University of Rome. Executive Editor-in-Chief of the journal Legal Roots; Research Fellow of the Scriptores Iuris Romani project of the European Research Council. Her research focuses on Roman law, especially family law and the study of Roman jurisprudence. She has published three monographs and more than 30 scientific papers. She was appointed as visiting scholar of Istituto Italo-Cinese of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2022.
